| FROM: The family record of Lyman Lowery Isreal an Anna had 7 boys and 1 girl. Lorenzo was the oldest and lived in Rossberg, Isreal went to Emporium Pa.; Lousia went to Shinglehouse Pa; Ben, Warren, and George went Attica; Phil went to IN and died at age 22; and Jonathan drowned at age 5 in the Genesee River in Portageville. In the fall of 1848 Isreal bought 10 acres on Griffeth Rd. across from Finn Rd about a mile west of Portageville. A 1853 map of the area shows a house on the property and identifies it as W. Reynolds (probably Warren and his mother) In 1950 Anna's tombstone was found by a cemetery historian at the cemetery in Portageville along the shore of the Genesee River, no mention of finding Isreal's. In 1857, Isreal's heirs sold the property and the deed transfer is on file at the Wyoming Co. offices in Warsaw New York. FROM: A Genealogy of Runnels and Reynolds Families in America, Rev. M.T. Runnels, 1873 He settled with his brothers in New York.[test.FTW] FROM: The family record of Lyman Lowery Isreal an Anna had 7 boys and 1 girl.
